This is an overall view of Lund in 1903 from the hills at the south end of town in the sprin. The group of buildings in the foreground were the old ranch headquarters when the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints bought the ranch in 1898 and colonized it. The two (buildings) . . . .has since burned down. The arrow is pointing to the log school house constructed from logs gotten out of the mountains by early settlers. Later the settlers added a cement clock structure to the east of this building and used it for a church. Both of these were destroyed by a . . . . (fire).
