Ray and Mae Jones, as they were known by all in Preston, lived here for several years. While here, Ray owned a farm, the Indian Ranch, and worked hard to provide for his family. He was avery civic minded person and was a member of the school board for some time.

Their children attended school in Preston and some of the older ones attended high school in Lund. They were active in the Church and all of them added to the various activities of the small town. The children were: Arthur Wayne Forman (by a former marriage), Melvin Dean, Delos Maynard, Raymond Leon Jr., Enid Lavern, Grant Eldon and Donna Maxine.

When they left Preston sometime in the thirties they went to Idaho.
